I keep making new pieces – that’s no problem. The problem comes with the photographing and listing them. I have more to do, but here’s a new one for today.
As you’ve probably noticed in the majority of my designs, simple clean lines appear over and over. This necklace is so simple, yet it makes a statement. Look at me – I don’t have to be gaudy to be gorgeous. Available in my shop. Thanks!

Today didn’t start off all that fabulous. Monday mornings always mean payroll at work and too many hormones floating around my office this morning got on my nerves. But then I came home for lunch and B was here. He didn’t have to work today. We had lunch and as we sat there eating, I was struck with the feeling of how lucky we are to have what we have and how hard we have worked to keep it. I smiled at him and said, “Do you realize how lucky we are to have each other?” *Smile* Answer: “Yeeeees, I know.” Dripping with the sarcasm I love the most.
And then…I got back to work after lunch and Carol had sent me a message saying my earrings were on the front page of Etsy. I was featured in a beautiful Treasury List made by SimplyTess. You just can’t buy the kind of advertising that being on the front page can bring. I got well over 300 views on just those earrings, and picked up about 31 hearts for my shop and 25-30 on individual items.
Then I got home this evening, took a little cat nap because I couldn’t keep my eyes open, and cooked supper for B and me. I bought some gumbo mix and shrimp at the grocery store Saturday and that’s what we had tonight. It was pretty good if I do say so myself. But then again, all I did was follow the directions. Reheat some leftover green beans from last night and toast up a big pan of garlic bread and it’s all good around here.

I just listed these crochet earrings in my shop. I found a wonderful new sterling silver hoop to use as a base and it really gives the earrings a presence.
On a side note: I still haven’t listed my bear or quilt. I can’t get a good picture of the two together, but have great shots separately. Maybe they just weren’t meant to be a pair.
Back to the earrings at hand:

I hinted a while back that I was working on a little pretty and today I’d like to share her with you. Meet Gretchen, a happy little bear that loves naps. I’ve had Gretchen finished for a while, but her dress was another story. I drafted the pattern by hand and cut it out. And drafted it again and cut it out. And drafted it again. You get the picture. It’s still not exactly what I want, but Gretchen loves it and begged me not to change it. Who am I to tell her no? I’ll be listing Gretchen in my shop soon, but I have a decision to make. You see, I thought (as did Gretchen) that she should have a little quilt when she goes to her new home. So, I got out my recently increasing stash of fabrics and made one for her. It’s my very first quilt. It’s blue calico and natural linen patchwork with embroidery on it’s tiny corners. The problem is, I don’t feel like the quilt and Gretchen go together very well. I think she needs a quilt in different colors. So, for now, Gretchen makes her debut sans quilt, but never fear, once my company leaves this weekend, I will return to mini quilt making stealth mode. To be continued…

I’ve been working on a new design for my Crochet Earrings. These are more open and lacy. After working with the bright colors for the consignment order, I needed some soft, muted tones to calm me. I’ve done these in Sky Blue & Linen, Cafe Pink, and Sage Green. They will also be available in Violet, Butter and White. They are now available.

I’ve been meaning to post for a while, but I didn’t realize it had been almost a month since I updated my blog. Life gets in the way! I’ve been busy getting a consignment order ready for Paper Boat Boutique. They had contacted me and asked if I consign my Crochet Earrings. I’ve never done consignment but decided to give it a try. My problem was they requested ‘a variety of bright colors’. Bright colors are not my style at all, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and create some for them. The earrings turned out pretty good.
