An award for Clinkscales Arts!

Arte_y_Pico[5].jpg
A fellow blogger, Pink Lemonade Boutique, has bestowed the Arte y Pico Award on me and my little blog. Thank you so much! I pass the award on to these 5 deserving bloggers and fellow EBW members:
The rules for passing the award on are (you can copy & paste):

1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter of language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award-winning has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) Award-winning and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y pico”blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5) Show these rules.

Luscious India Earrings

I’ve discovered a new (to me) style of beadweaving that I just adore. It is so feminine and pretty; reminds me of India. I’ve been gathering components to create these, and I finally finished them last night. I set the vintage glass stones myself using silver plated settings. Ear wires are oxidized sterling silver.

Please me…

is the title of this treasury I created. Yes, I know it has sexual undertones - did that on purpose trying to peak people’s interests and get them in to look at these beauties:

You can see I chose fellow members of EBW (Etsy BeadWeavers Street Team) and others I pulled from my favorites.  This list is active until Monday morning, June 23rd. Check it out.

EBW Beadwoven Front Page hits Etsy

The Etsy Admin finally recognized the talents of the Etsy BeadWeavers Street Team by choosing an all-EBW treasury to grace the front page on June 9, 2008. This gorgeous treasury was curated by none other than the treasury queen herself - Carol Dean of SandFibers. Thanks to Carol Dean for including my “She’s my cherry pie - Ball & Chain Necklace” in her treasury. It’s the top middle item.

Etsy BeadWeavers June Challenge - I’m #8!

This month I managed to get a piece finished in time to enter in the Etsy BeadWeavers June Challenge.  The theme was “Anything Goes” and I believe we interpreted it well!  By the way, my Modern Sterling Silver Bracelet is #8 if you’d like to vote for ME! :D

Finally!

Life has been hectic lately, so I haven’t had as much time to devote to this bracelet as I would have like. That’s why I’ve been working on it on and off for two weeks. But here it is - tada! This is simple and modern, but completely classic. It’s a bracelet that will be in style for years to come.
When I saw these sterling silver links, I knew I had to have them. I’m so glad I followed my instinct. They are heavy and luscious. I was only able to get these six little links though, so this is a one of a kind piece. Currently available in my shop. Don’t wait, there will be no others.

I found myself with an Etsy Treasury last night, so this is the group of items I chose to feature:

Wow - it’s been a while…

I knew it had been a couple of weeks since I posted to my blog, but I didn’t realize it had been a month! Like everyone, I’ve been busy, busy. I’ve been working on custom orders, but found the time last night to bead a new pair of earrings for my shop. The color looks purple, but they are more of a grayish purple. I call them Mocha Eggplant. They’re pretty and dainty and perfect for afternoon tea.

Last of the Winter Brown

I noticed a beautiful beaded fringe bead made by Janie Warnick in a book I recently purchased. I contacted Janie to see if she would allow me to use her pattern to make a few beads for my shop. She graciously agreed, and here we have my first fringe bead:
