Patchwork Sunday

I’ve been working on the photos for a promotional postcard for the Etsy Beadweavers team today, but it’s getting tedious, so I decided to take a break. I should be finishing up a wholesale order of crochet earrings, but I only need to do one more pair, and I don’t want to crochet.

So, I decided to not do anything I was supposed to do and to try out a little patchwork project that I’ve been tossing around in my head. I’ve been wanting some patchwork coasters for the living room, so I decided to make a pair today. I thought, “Those will be easy-peasy.” Well, they weren’t difficult in theory, but I didn’t do a very good job! I can tell I haven’t been sewing a lot lately. I am out of practice - big time! While my seams were fairly straight, my turning and pressing left something to be desired. I probably shouldn’t post the poor little things for the world to see, but what the hell, we’re all friends, right? :)

Reversible Purse

Reversible Purse, originally uploaded by ClinkscalesArts.

This is one of the many things I’ve been working on lately. It’s a purse for my little sister. I really like the plain striped side the best. Plus, I used a mother of pearl button from our grandmother’s stash on that side. Hope you love your purse, Po! :)
